This beautiful white tea was homemade by Yang’s father (Qike), stepmother (Xiaoqing) and Xiaoqing’s mother in the spring of 2017. The semi-aged white tea was partly hand-picked by the three of them in the tea garden which belongs to Xiaoqing’s family, and partly from some wild tea fields. Both the garden and the fields are completely free of fertilizer or pesticides.
Most of the aged white tea available on the market are pressed into cakes, this can be the only loose aged (semi-aged) white tea you can find in Europe. It was stored at Xiaoqing’s home in Fuding together with hundreds of kilos other white teas since the time of making, until it was shipped to Germany recently (04.19.).
We don’t have equipment or technique to press the tea into cakes for shipping, so we just shipped the loose tea. If you would like to taste a loose aged white tea that is homemade by my family, place an order now and I will pack it personally for you.
The tea smells fruity (Longgan, dark and cooked fruits), a little smoky, a little minty and a little vegetal. It tastes sweet that is both fruity and vegetal. It still has a little of the freshness of a new white tea, but mostly sweet and smooth that is typical of a mature and well aged white tea.
