The unglazed teapot has a very rough texture, while the one glazed with wood ash has a smooth and metallic texture.
The metallic teapot is glazed with natural wood ash on the outside and not glazed on the inside. The brown is unglazed pure clay.
The clay softens the taste of a bitter tea because it is rich in mica, quartz and other minerals. This teapot is a great option for young, aged pu erh, black tea, heicha, and other aged teas.
