Nixing "坭興“Pot made of clay
Nixing pots, which can look back on more than 1300 years of history, are called the "Four Great Ceramics of China" together with Yixing Zisha pots, Yunnan Jianshui pots and Chongqing Rongchang Anfu pots. Nixing pots are made in Qinzhou City, Guangxi Province, China. Because of the subtle colors and artistic reliefs that emerge from the unique clay material when it is fired in the kiln, they are referred to as a “Chinese specialty”. Nixing clay is porous, which allows the teaware to breathe. In addition, it preserves the special taste, especially the crispy, sharp taste of the tea. Nixing is therefore an ideal clay for almost all types of tea, so that you can basically prepare all types of tea in a Nixing pot, except for green tea.
