This handmade glass Gong Dao Bei is made from glass that was blown at 900°C. The glass was made extra thick so that it does not break at high temperatures. The sharp pouring opening allows for precise and clean pouring into cups. The Hulu shape of the Gong Dao Bei makes it easy to grip the Gong Dao Bei and pour elegantly.
This small glass carafe is used as a "fairness cup" in the Chinese tea ceremony to distribute the tea evenly among all the tea cups.
