Yin Zhen Silver Needle Tea is one of the best and therefore also most expensive teas in the world. This particular white tea is made from the young, tender buds won from the tea plant.

The Silver Needle tea is especially good at his fine, downy hairs to recognize. It is also noteworthy that, unlike near all other teas, the tea leaves are not hard, but very soft.

For the Silver Needle tea, the tea leaves are not roasted or fermented, but quite simply air dried.

Very enjoyable

A great and unconventional silver needle tea. I enjoyed playing and experimenting with it. The sweet and fruity notes are delicious and it doesn't go bitter at all.
The bud size and look was a bit inconsistent though. Ultimately I did find it a bit underwhelming at times, like it is pointing towards a nice complex flavour but the sensation fades quickly.
I find that this tea did not handle 90 degrees celcius too well so went down to 85 instead.

Großartiger weißer Tee

Dieser Tee hat eine dezente florale Süße die ich so noch bei meinem Silver Needle Tee hatte. Nicht zu aufdringlich aber auch nicht zu wenig, eine tolle Mischung zusammen mit dem sehr leichten Grüntee-Geschmack, gepart mit einer subtilen grasigen Note. Das alles ändert sich von Aufguss zu Aufguss, sehr spanned und wirklich toll!

Ein leckerer Silver Needle - dezent im Geschmack, dabei schön floral, mit einer eleganten Süße, und gar keine Heu-Note wie bei manchen Silver Needle.

Tatsächlich gefällt mir dieser Yunnan besser als der teurere aus Fuding (2021): Der Fuding ist deutlich grüner, sowohl im Aussehen als auch im Geschmack, hat was von Zuckerschoten - etwas, das ich nicht mit weißem Tee verbinde. Daher ist für mich der Yunnan die erste Wahl.
