2018 Jingmai Shu Pu Erh
Sweet Daily Pu Erh of 2023 Springtime
Jingmai Sheng Pu Erh 2023
smell and taste: very fruity, floral, sweet, minty with a long lasting sweet taste in the back of the throat.
This sweet sheng pu erh was hand crafted by William and Yu Bai from the material in their natural garden in Da Ping Zhang Jingmai. Jingmai is located in southwest Yunnan, not far from the Myanmar border. The place is set to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its unique natural environment, tea landscapes and cultural diversity. Natural Garden means that the tea bushes were planted in the 1990s and have been growing naturally since 2010 without the use of pesticides or fertilizers.
William and Yu Bai are one of the few tea producers in Jingmai who insist on hand-processing the tea from the Natural Garden, while most tea producers only hand-process Gushu tea (tea from ancient trees). The result is a fine Sheng Pu Erh with a balanced sweetness, fruitiness, floweriness and mintiness. After trying the tea when we visited William in the city of Pu Erh in June, we ordered it immediately because we know that this is the best Pu Erh tea of the day, which tastes the best and is not too expensive .
We recommend the traditional one "Gong Fu Zubereitung" for this tea:
- Heat a small teapot of about 200ml with boiling water
- Pour out the water, add ca. 7 Gramm Tee in the pot
- Pour boiling water on the pu erh, wait 3 seconds and throw away the tea (This step serves to activate the pressed tea and to clean it of any dust)
- Pour boiling water over the pu erh tea again. Let it steep for about 20 seconds
- Enjoy your tea :)
This Pu Erh tea can be gongfucha style infused at least 8 times become.
