a sweet and thick Yiwu Pu Erh, with a strong gamey flavor.
Tong Qing He Gushu Sheng Pu Erh 2023
Harvest: Spring 2023
Smell and taste : In terms of taste, Tong Qing He has the typical smoothness, fruitiness and sweetness of a Yiwu Pu Erh tea. Since this Tong Qing He Pu Erh is made exclusively from leaves of tall, ancient forest trees, it is also wild and creamy in taste. It also has a soft and thick texture that is typical of the tall forest trees in the Yiwu Mountains. The Chaqi of this Gushu Sheng Pu Erh is very pleasant after 3 infusions.
The quickly returning sweetness and florality in the back of the throat can be enjoyed for a long time. Anyone who loves Yiwu Sheng Pu Erh will be familiar with the beauty of this Tong Qing He Pu Erh. For anyone who wants to experience the magic of pure, ancient forest tea, we highly recommend this Tong Qing He Gushu Pu Erh.
Where is Tong Qing He? Why is this tea so expensive?
Tong Qing He belongs to Yiwu Tea District, Mengla County. Tong Qing He is a stream that meanders through the forests in the mountains, where you can find wild animals, exotic plants, but rarely people. Everywhere you go and what you see is the original wild atmosphere.
The Pu Erh tea found on both sides of Tong Qing He has the typical characteristics of a fine Yiwu Pu Erh, but the fame is not as high as other Yiwu Pu Erh tea because the tea plantation is too remote and hidden too deep. The Gushu trees are located in the jungle, which can only be accessed by walking for hours. Even motorcycles cannot reach the trees.
In addition, it is extremely difficult to pick the tea from the ten-meter-high old trees. And the tall and old trees are not in one place, but are scattered throughout the forest along the river, which makes tea picking even more time-consuming and labor-intensive.
The Tong Qing He is also known as the "Holy Land of Yiwu".
We recommend the traditional "Gong Fu preparation" for this tea:
- Heat a small teapot of about 200 ml with boiling water
- Pour out the water, add about 7 grams of tea into the pot
- Pour boiling water on the Pu Erh, wait 3 seconds and pour the tea away (This step is to activate the pressed tea and clean it of any dust)
- Pour boiling water over the Pu Erh tea again. Let it brew for about 20 seconds
- Enjoy your tea :)
This Pu Erh tea can be
brewed in the Gongfucha style at least 8 times .
