Lancang Gushu Sheng Pu Erh 2018 Spring
A first-class Sheng Pu Erh (Raw Pu Erh Tea) from Yunnan Province in southern China. Harvest is spring 2018.
taste: gentle and elegant, fruity like apricots and lotus seeds
If you are just trying out Sheng Pu Erh, this tea is a great choice. I highly recommend it because it is smooth and fruity with almost zero bitterness.
This tea comes from "Young Gushu" tea trees. So from Gushu who are at least 200 years old. Gushu refers to ancient tea trees that are more common in Yunnan. The tea is called young old tree because it was picked from old trees (04.2018) and is not yet aged.
In contrast to the usual tea bushes in the fields, Gushu grows wild in forests and deep mountains. Due to the aging process, the tea leaves develop a unique character that cannot be compared with any other type of tea.
Sheng Pu Erh from ancient trees is more complex in taste, bitter, sweet or both, mineral, fruity, floral or all. The tastes evolve and change day to day, month to month, year to year, and decade to decade. This is because the leaves are still very active. They can easily be influenced by many factors, such as: B. the season, humidity, storage conditions, age of the tea, age of the tea tree, etc.
