2023 Pu Erh Bai Ya Bao
2023 Pu Erh Bai Ya Bao (Yesheng / wild)
Wild and pesticide free
Material: The buds of old wild trees. These are the buds that grow up the branches of the trees when not picked. So these are not the same buds that grow into leaves for making traditional tea. Pu Erh Bai Ya Bao are basically baby branches of Pu Erh tea trees.
Taste: Pu Erh Bai Ya comes from Pu Erh tea trees but has none of the bitterness or astringency of Pu Erh tea. It has very little caffeine and doesn't get bitter at all, even if you let the tea steep for hours or days.
A new Pu Erh Bai Ya tea tastes medicinal, floral, woody like a pine tree and sweet like elderflower syrup. The medicinal aroma will fade over time and the sweetness of the tea will increase dramatically. Like all other Pu Erh teas and white teas, this Pu Erh Bai Ya Bao can also be matured and becomes significantly sweeter over the years.
Preparation method:
For this tea we recommend the traditional preparation in Gong Fu style.
Or:
Use 1-2 tablespoons of tea for a large pot of hot water (90-95°C). Forget the big Pu Erh Bai Ya teapot for a tea warmer for hours. And you have a warming, sweet, floral tea waiting for you while you work or go about your daily chores.
