Description

Old tree Shu Pu-erh, Gong Ting (bud and leaves)
from 2022

Shu Pu Erh 2022 made from Gushu material

Old tree Shu Pu-erh, Gong Ting (bud and leaves)
Harvest date: April and September, 2022
Growing region: Ming Feng Shan, Lincang Region
Altitude: 2050-2100m
Tea bush/variety: Yunnan Big Leaf Tea Old Tree

Taste : sweet, woody, herbaceous, reminiscent of a Hong Kong grass jelly snack, no trace of fishy aroma resulting from fermentation. It tastes purely like a good Shu Pu Erh, which has been processed by a master hand.

Consistency : medium thick, very soft, silky

1 slice contains about 8g of tea. 7 slices (56g) come in 1 mini tong, a handy size for on the go and to take on holiday.

We recommend the traditional "Gong Fu preparation " for this tea:

    1. Heat a small teapot of approx. 200 ml with boiling water.
    2. Pour out the water, add 1 slice of tea to the pot
    3. Pour boiling water onto the Pu Erh, wait 3 seconds and pour away the tea (This step is to activate the pressed tea and clean it of any dust)
    4. Pour boiling water over the Pu Erh tea again. Let it steep for about 5 minutes for the 1st infusion.
    5. Later infusions take shorter time (1-2 minutes) because the leaves have opened after the first infusion.

This aged Pu Erh tea can be infused at least 8 times with Gong-Fu broths.

Klassischer Pu-Erh-Geschmack

2022 Mingfeng Shan Shu Pu Erh

This tea reminds me of earthy notes with a "coffeeish" aftertaste, althoguh it has underlying notes and dimensions I haven't manage to define yet.The only reason I haven't rated it 5 stars is because I have already tasted shu puerh in orange before. Despite of this it's an absolutely good choice to pick and try this tea.

Gute Ripe-Bengs

Top.
