2022 Nannuo Shan Gushu Sheng Pu Erh
Nannuo Shan 2022 Spring Gushu Sheng Pu Erh
Harvest: 04.2022
The 2022 Nannuo Shan Gushu is from older trees than its 2021 and 2020 counterparts. The trees are estimated to be at least 800 years, located on Banpo (middle slope) in the old village of Nannuo Shan. This is until now the oldest tea tree we have ever found for the Nannuo Shan Pu Erh.
The extremely old age of the trees can be distinguished by the minty and mossy aroma and tastes that do not exist in Nannuo Gushu or Nannuo Dashu in the past. The extremely old age of the trees also shows in the tea body which is thicker and smoother with less astringency. At last, one feels the power of the old age through the energy that flows through the body and especially through the mind only after a few infusions.
I really recommend vertical tasting of the 2021 Nannuo Gushu and 2022 Nannuo Gushu to get a better feeling of the super ancient trees.
